General rules – Books & eBooks

• In the text citation, when a book has up to 4 authors, list the first author followed by et al.

 

• In the reference list, when a book has more than 10 authors, list the first 7 followed by et al.

 

• Use n. d. when the publication date of a book is unknown.

 

• If no fixed page numbers are available, cite a section title, a chapter or other number in the text citation.

 

• Book titles appear in italics.
