Research Data Services

Data access

The library offers a set of research data services integrated into the DataLab, providing access and processing services for the following databases:

    • Revelio Labs
    • PitchBook
    • Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe
    • MISI
    • Quadros de Pessoal
    • Nielsen
    • Morningstar
  •  

In addition, the Library Research Data Services provides a request for new databases, either through acquisition or through a data sharing partnership agreement.

Each database has specific access and processing rules. The Library promotes compliance through policies grounded in best practices, Open Science, and FAIR principles, in accordance with general data protection regulations, data governance frameworks, and information security measures applicable to the entire academic community.

You must request access to the research data services for each asset via the appropriate request form, acknowledging the applicable conditions, rules, and responsibilities. The Conditions of Use are available under Social Sciences DataLab Policies.

Additionally, depending on the data collection it is permitted to request the download of:

  • Stata graphs
  • Images graphs
  • Do files
  • Small part of aggregated data without personal information

You must request this data service via the request form, acknowledging the applicable conditions, rules, and responsibilities. The Conditions of Use are available under Social Science DataLab Policies.

Technical consultancy and support

The NOVA SBE DataLab offers technical consultancy and support for research projects across the NOVA SBE academic community.

These services help researchers ensure data quality, compliance, and alignment with international best practices in Open Science and FAIR data management.

Open Science Support
  • Guidance on data sharing and transparency practices
  • Assistance with repository selection and metadata publication
  • Support for compliance with funder and institutional Open Science policies
FAIR Data Consultancy
  • Implementation of FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
  • Metadata structuring and documentation standards
Research Data Management Plans (DMPs)
  • Development and review of DMPs for funded projects
  • Integration of ethical, legal, and technical requirements
  • Monitoring and updating DMPs throughout the research lifecycle
